Abdel Traore Ph.D.
Dr. Abdelmoumine Traore is a Senior Economist with Washington State’s Office of Financial Management, where he develops economic forecasts and conducts research on how trade and budget changes affect Washington’s economy. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Operations Research from Penn State University and has worked globally with McKinsey & Company, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund on projects addressing climate finance, disaster risk management, and trade policy. Recognized for his ability to combine rigorous economic modeling with real-world policy insights, Dr. Traore has published and presented his research internationally and is a member of the American Economic Association.
